Welcome and God Bless!
My name is PJ, or rather, that is what I am called.
The most important thing in my life is God and my capacity to follow Him. I began learning about him as an eight-year-old in 2002 and continued going to church from then on. However it wasn't until the year of 2006 that I began learning about how one can have a personal relationship with Him and truly be a part of his Kingdom. Due to some problems with the church, I never truly welcomed Him into my heart, but I never ceased staying involved with the church. Then finally on a beautiful day, April 16, 2013, I made that decision and it was the best decision of my life. Now, there is much more to that story, but if I were to tell the whole thing, you would be here a while. Look for more parts of it in my blog posts!
A little bit about me....
I am a home schooled college student. I know that sounds strange, but it is technically true! I go to to school online through Arizona State University. Before that I attended my local community college for two and a half years and a semester at Sacramento State University.
Somethings I enjoy....
I am a huge fan of Disney. I am talking about the animated feature films for the most part. I don't care that I am in my twenties, I will love them forever! And lately I have gotten into the Marvel and DC superhero movies thanks to my friends. Upon watching them, it was sort of like "why hadn't I seen these before?!" Next I'll have to watch Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Trying to catch up with society!
And like a lot of people, I do spend a lot of time on Netflix, mainly watching the show Friends. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and watching sports (Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Kansas City Chiefs). And lately I've gotten really into power-walking 5K events (as pictured). My favorite colors are blue, green and yellow and my favorite food is shrimp.
Now, one thing I have learned is that being a Christian is definitely not easy. I struggle with following God often, but He always takes care of me. My struggles and blessings in life are what has inspired me to write this blog.
